This is a descriptive grammar of the basic syntactic and morphological aspects of Fifi, an endangered language of southwest Saudi Arabia. Data were gathered from a native speaker of the language. Fifi is a predominantly inflectional and left-headed language and the constituent order is generally VS in intransitive clauses and SVO in transitive clauses. Fifi exhibits case and there are agreement affixes on the verb. The major categories, verbs, nouns and adjectives, follow the Semitic pattern of consonantal roots, to which are added alternating vowels and inflections for tense and agreement. Together, case and word order express grammatical relations. Also described are the structure of Fifi predicates, questions, causatives, reflexives, passive and reciprocals.
