John Dewey once said, "If we teach today as we taught yesterday, we rob our children of tomorrow." By using such innovative technology as an instructional improvement system or a learning management system platform and video conferencing to personalize virtual and face-to-face instruction, virtual/blended learning environments can innovatively design and deliver personalized standards-driven curricular content to help students meet and exceed college and career readiness requirements. School leaders, counselors, and teachers are incorporating blended learning models to improve instruction, promote academic achievement, and prepare students for college and careers. Through a case study approach, this research examined the perceptions of secondary Grade 9 through Grade 12 private school virtual school leaders, counselors, and teachers as they interacted within a personalized blended learning environment to prepare students for college and careers.
