This case study, centered in a company with its activities based in the Borderplex of El Paso, Texas, and in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, offers an understanding of the competitive advantage obtained by the use of LSPs for inbound and outbound logistics activities. Inbound and Outbound Logistics Managers were interviewed following a protocol of a semi-structure interview in order to critically identify what competitive advantages the company being researched gained by utilizing a LSP. It also focused to recognize differentiated types of services offered by LSPs, the level of technology used, as well to understand why the use of the of the LSPs is more than just cost based or resource based, but also strategic in nature for the business. The result revealed that the use of LSPs for inbound and outbound activities leverages the company to have a high performance in terms of receiving and delivering their products on time.
