This thesis proposes a framework that shortens and focuses cultural research for the localization of a product. Through conducting academic research, and my own observations of culture and design, I have identified Cultural Attributes (CAs) that aid in finding meaning and cultural values. The insights gained from the framework, identify opportunities that can be used to create future products that are attuned to the values, norms, beliefs, and attitudes of a group of people. By doing so, we learn about abstract cultural values and beliefs and permit products to be meaningful and reflect the user';s needs.
