This study explores the development of Inclusive Leadership capacity by faculty members. Inclusive Leadership is defined as a the collective capacity for "relational practice, collaboration, building inclusion for others, creating inclusive workplaces, and work cultures, partnerships and consensus building, and true engagement of all" (Wasserman 2015, 335). This basic qualitative study invited twenty-three full time faculty members to share the influences of Inclusive Leadership development in their individual lives, their classrooms, and in their institutions. The findings were analyzed using an Inclusive Leadership framework on the micro (individual), meso (group), and macro (organizational) levels. Using a transformative learning framework, the findings revealed Inclusive Leadership is developed on the individual level by learning from and for those who are different, the meso level through dialogue and mentoring, and the macro through an inclusive culture and climate. The recommendations include viewing the primary location of Inclusive Leadership development occurring on the meso level, and a systemic framework is offered for understanding the necessary ingredients for developing Inclusive Leadership.
